Radiohead - In Rainbows

I finally got round to ordering my expensive geeks/completists' copy yesterday, which includes CDs, vinyl, artwork and a free £50 note. It's due for dispatch "on or before 3 December".

You also get a free download, so I've listened to it today. It's pretty excellent. Bold and experimental but also very listenable.

There's no artwork with the download so many people have been designing their own for a competition and uploading to this Flickr gallery. My favourite one, by Simon Conlin, is above.

And here's a good track. Off of it.

Never had you down as a Radiohead fan. I loved the first three albums and the last one but the two in between were utter shite and I couldn't listen to them without wanting to stab myself. How does this one compare to their back catalogue?

I'd say it's probably better than Hail to the Thief but not as good as OK Computer. Not as weird as Kid A/Amnesiac so you may like it. Thom Yorke's solo album is also really good, by the way.

I like radiohead I admit I'm not the biggest greatest fan but I liked Thom solo album too...anyway ....to be honest I started listening to In_Rainbows when i started to design the covers (just to get into the groove) ...
and now I cannot get it out of my head ,.. i wish i meant that in that
"pop song" kind of way but no!! i really mean i go to bed and i hear it in my head
everywhere I go in my head I hear the songs

either I am haunted or its the sign of a masterpiece album

My life at school as a kid was brutal as I only had 2 stripes and people would point and laugh...things are all good now though
