Spe-X Factor

I'm thinking of getting me some new gigs. Something like one of these pairs here. Which shall I get? Which glasses, in short, have the SPE-X FACTOR? (Note to those reading this from outside the UK, X Factor is a bit like a cheapo version of American Idol. It has Simon Cowell. So the title of this post is actually a rather fine pun. I can't take the credit though - Emma came up with it.)

Anyway, please vote for which pair of specs should win, if you would. You could win a Nokia mobile phone and a pair of tickets to next week's SPEC-tacular grand finale (geddit???!!!?!?!?!??).

(BTW The Armani ones are about a hundred quid more expensive than the other ones. This may influence my decision.)

I vote for the Osiris. I don't know why anyone would pay that much for a pair of frames.

When I choose specs I naturally gravitate towards the most expensive ones (do in most things which is worrying for my bank balance) and had already picked the Armani ones before I read your comment. The red on the inside of the the Osiris reminded me of the sort of thing that Christopher Biggins would wear but with a trendier shape. Also my very first pair of glasses back in the eighties had red frames so that may be clouding my judgement. Obviously they might look great on and if you do get them I won't mention Biggins.

One can justify spending quite a lot on frames, I think, becuase it's the one thing you wear every day. My current frames were mega expensive but since I've put them on in the morning more than 800 times, they're probably the cheapest fashion item I own.
